The lodge stands on the Maddiston Road, about one hundred yards from the Waggon Road. The first meeting of the Lodge Polmont 793 was held in the garret of Glenedge cottage at the bottom of Quarry Brae, just up from the Post Office on Wednesday 20th September 1893. The lodge became known as the "Lodge in the Garret".
